Library garden

We planted the new area next to our existing library garden. The original garden was planted years ago in memory of our founding president, Jo Reed.

Wilma, Mike, Christine, Lynne and Launa planted the gardens and placed the bench.

February meeting

Author and columnist Julie Bawden Davis, was the guest speaker for our Feburary 6 meeting.
Julie taught us how to care for our indoor plants with many helpful hints for insect control, choosing the best spot for your plant and watering tips.

Lynn Cherry, an active member of our club for 19 years brought the beautiful creative centerpiece for the cookie table.

Our January annual evening meeting attracted over 100 people interested in gardening and our speaker.

Our hospitality hostess Erika, always ready to accomodate!
Speaker, Ron Vanderhoff, Nursery Manager for Roger's Gardens, shared many alternatives to the typical plants for our gardens.

Rose pruning workshop

The annual rose pruning workshop was held at the City Hall Rose Garden. Our club maintains this rose garden and it is the perfect opportunity to get hands on experience from experts.
President, Homer, giving instruction to some people from the community.
Wanda Weghorst took time out from planning the GardenFest to help.
Lynn Cherry, an active club member for 19 years jumped right in and pruned the tough ones.
When the work was finished we took time for coffee and visiting.
Many thanks to Homer for his instruction. Also working were Diane and Bob O'ffill, Emilie Matthews, Wilma Cogswell, Launa Gould, and Joanne Pollard.
